Here we go. The second one in my Berlin series. Prenzlauer Berg is a former borough of Berlin situated in the eastern part of the city. In 2001 Prenzlauer Berg was combined with the former boroughs Pankow and Weissensee under the name of Pankow. After German reunification in 1990 Prenzlauer Berg soon attracted a lot of young people with alternative lifestyles.

Berliner Dome

Sometimes, just sometimes, visiting a [inspiring] city can have a major impact on your life. Berlin did this for me on a couple of occasions. It changed the way I looked at certain things. You might have experienced that yourself. It can be hard at some moments. But believe me, in the end it's all worth it. So I would suggest to live for these moments and you will not regret it.
This is my first piece in a series of 4. I hope to finish the others soon, but again I need some time.

This is a first cutout in a series of 4 beautifull buildings I'll be making in the coming months. The Decay-series will take a bit longer then I expected, so you have to wait a bit longer for that to be completed.

Mantelzorg@Work

People who look after an ill, frail or disabled family member, friend or partner in combination with their work, have little time for themselves. This type of volunteer aid never stops; it is 24/7. We should be proud of these working caretakers. This time-lapse video is part of the Dutch volunteer aid campaign called Mantelzorg@work. The aim of the campaign is to communicate more knowledge for this combination of people doing a daily job and providing unpaid care for relatives or friends. This way, we want to create familiarity and discussion about the subject among employees, in order to convince employers to create a solution for their caring workers. http://www.werkenmantelzorg.nl

The Lord's Love

Not to long ago there was a heated argument in the Netherlands about a certain poster portraying a young female in a bikini which was believed to be degrading and offencive towards women. About 2 weeks ago I saw a lot of religious posters in one of the largest trainstations in the Netherlands depicting a passage from the Bible, which struck a nerve...

...Loosely translated the text reads: I'am THE light of the world. Who follows ME will never wander in darkness, but live in the light.
